Claudia Welsh
Claudia is a California native with a Bachelor's degree in Geography and Anthropology who has been connected to the photography world for over three decades. She had the privilege of serving as Gallery Manager at The Ansel Adams Gallery in Yosemite National Park for more than 20 years, a role that deepened her understanding of photographic artistry and craftsmanship.
As co-owner of Michael Frye Photography alongside her husband, professional landscape and nature photographer Michael Frye, she contributes to their collaborative work focused on the natural beauty of the Western United States, as well as select international destinations. Together, they share a passion for traveling and camping in natural areas.
In recent years, she has enjoyed exploring iPhone photography and videography, documenting their travels and the moments that capture her attention during field expeditions. Her approach emphasizes authentic storytelling through visual documentation. She shares these experiences on social media, connecting with others who appreciate outdoor adventures and natural landscapes.
Claudia finds that photography nurtures both creativity and a deeper awareness of the world. She believes that while natural places provide solace, practicing the art of seeing, whether in wilderness or everyday moments, can bring more joy and meaning to anyone's life.
