Jennifer Renwick
Jennifer Renwick is a Colorado-based professional nature photographer. For the past ten years, she has traveled the American West in a travel trailer with her partner, fellow photographer David Kingham, capturing diverse landscapes and teaching photography workshops in national parks and wilderness areas. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology, and practiced as a C.V.T. After fourteen years in the field of veterinary medicine, she moved west to embrace a more creative life with her camera, blending her love of nature with her artistic vision to reveal the subtle stories that landscapes hold.
Her passion lies in uncovering the narratives and often overlooked details of wild places. She practices slow photography, focusing on visual storytelling and capturing the emotions of a scene, with a particular emphasis on creating and curating photography projects. Guided by careful observation, she directs her lens toward the nuances and textures of the natural world. Whether photographing dolphins gliding through the ocean or documenting the abstract beauty of desert formations, her goal is to create images that evoke emotion, share stories, and raise awareness of the fragile beauty of the environment.
Jennifer is also a respected educator and speaker who shares her passion through workshops, teaching students to slow down and connect more deeply with their subjects. This approach fosters meaningful connections that strengthen both visual storytelling and personal expression.
Her work has been featured in numerous photography publications, including LensWork, Landscape Photography Magazine, Outdoor Photographer, National Geographic's online story "Underwater Beauty," On Landscape, and LensWork's Seeing in Sixes photography books. Jennifer is also a co-founder of the Nature First Alliance for Responsible Nature Photography and co-owner of the Nature Photographer's Network.
